To carry out his plan, Michael intentionally gets himself incarcerated and tattoos the blueprints of the prison on his body. The series primarily revolves around Michael’s efforts to free his brother from various correctional facilities, including the notorious Fox River State Penitentiary in the first season. Lincoln is wrongfully convicted and sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit.
